NECTA Awards Dinner

After two full days of live culinary competition and skills showcasing it is time to reveal the winners and announce the 2017 NECTA North East Chef of the Year and where better to do so than at a gala black tie dinner in the prestigious Newcastle Racecourse.

This year the NECTA awards dinner aims to introduce an element of competition into the event and give all the dinner guests the opportunity to become judges for the night.  
The evening begins at 7.00pm with guests being welcomed into the Banquet Hall foyer. Drinks will be available from the bar and a selection of canapés will be served from 7.15pm. The start of the evening is a perfect opportunity for competitors, guests, chefs, judges, restaurateurs, hoteliers and suppliers to network and relax.

The Awards Dinner consist of:

  • Ham Hock Terrine with Fruit Chutney and Garlic Chives

  • Daube of Slow Braised Beef with Red Wine
  • Glazed Lemon Tart with Raspberry Coulis and Fresh Berries
    Tea or Coffee

Awards will be announced throughout the evening and following the dinner there will be a disco and bar available until midnight. There will also be a raffle in aid of the Bubble Foundation.
